Last week we shot the DJPremium.com Fall Campaign at The Condor’s Nest Ranch in Pala, CA. This location specializes in hosting Weddings, but is also an amazing location for photoshoots. There were so many lovely places to shoot on this Ranch, we could have stayed for multiple days and still not have exhausted the locations. Enough talk, check out the video courtesy of SuperflyBrownEye

These are a series of photos I took from my trip to Guatemala, back in May (some of which I didn’t post on Facebook).
It was the first time I decided to take my DSLR on a trip back to visit my family there. It made visiting Guatemala new and exciting again, as my eyes noticed and absorbed much more detail in these places I have seen before.
Guatemala really is “el alma del mundo” (the soul of the earth), which is what I tried to capture.

A couple weeks ago I photographed a friend during a B-Boy practice session at the Gymnastics gym. They were doing flips, flares, spins, poses, etc… I used a fairly simple light setup to photograph them. One SB800 directly overhead the subject, and two SB900’s as kicker lights behind the subject. For occasions like this, the Nikon Speedlights are very mobile and are compact enough that the dancers don’t kick them over.
